AWC Business Meeting
Thursday, June 20 | 4 to 5:45 pm
The AWC Business Meeting will occur in Vancouver at the Hilton Vancouver Washington conference center in conjunction with the AWC Annual Conference! An online option will also be provided for those who wish to view the meeting and/or participate as a voting delegate.
What's happening at the AWC Business Meeting?
Elect the AWC Board of Directors – The people who guide your association’s activities. View the Nominating Committee’s webpage to see the list of candidates and committee reports.
Hear an update from your AWC CEO – Get an update on business from the previous year and hear what’s on deck for the coming year.
Hear an update from the AWC Ad Hoc Bylaws Review Committee – The Committee will meet throughout the fall and into 2025 and may forward, if any, recommended changes to the bylaws to the membership for adoption in advance of the 2025 Business Meeting.
Vote on the AWC Statement of Policy – The AWC Statement of Policy Committee will meet spring 2024 and will forward any recommended policy updates to the membership for adoption.
Who are your city's voting delegates?
Each city may designate up to three voting delegates for the AWC Business Meeting. Voting delegates can be elected officials or staff. These delegates vote on candidates for the AWC Board of Directors.
Before registering a voting delegate, please confirm that the delegate can attend the Business Meeting on June 20, 4–5:45 pm. An online option will be available. Because the quorum is based on the number of voting delegates, it is important that voting delegates attend the meeting. (Voting delegates are not required to attend Annual Conference.)
Voting delegate registration is now open.
Voting delegate registration will close at 5 pm on Thursday, June 13.
Need to cancel or make a substitution? Both will be accepted until 2 pm on Thursday, June 20.
